Located in the small, friendly community of Rockaway Borough, our preschool has been in existence since 1956. We are a cooperative nursery school with a highly certified staff. PCCNS staff members are credentialed; degrees, special ed, and state certifications. Teachers offer each child a warm, loving, and caring learning environment to meet each child’s developmental needs. PCCNS is a non-profit, all inclusive, academic preschool wrapped in creative fun. We offer low rates and flexible payment plans. Classes are 1/2 day sessions, for children ages 2.5, 3, 4, and 4+.
What is a Cooperative Nursery School?
A co-op is a “large family” in a school setting where teachers and parents work together to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all, especially the children. Co-oping is an excellent way for parents to be directly involved in their child’s school by involvement in the classroom. Examples; ‘ Bring a Parent to Gym Day’, ‘Mystery Box Day’ and many sign up activities throughout the school year based on parent schedules. Parents take turns on a rotating basis to sign-up for classroom parent/child events as schedules allow.. This is one of many highlights of our program.
NEVER TO YOUNG TO LEARN EMPATHY
At the Coop we provide numerous OUTREACH opportunities for our children. We believe children are never to young to learn about empathy and kindness. One of our many projects is our raised garden bed. The children will plant fruits and vegetables and care for the garden until harvest time. The harvested fruits and vegetables are given to those in need.🍊🍅🥒🥬🥦
2-Week Summer Camp
Join us for a special 2-Week Summer Camp to kick off the season. Camp runs for 2-weeks, Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Total costs are $295.00.
